Enrichment to Invest in Helping-Orchestra-Youth-Achieve-Success (HOYAS)
Cobb County funds only a small portion of the annual expense of running our wonderful orchestra program at Harrison. The general operating budget of the Harrison Orchestra Boosters supports the Harrison Orchestra program by providing enrichment above what is supplied from the county, such as: providing regular professional clinicians to work with the students in a smaller student to teacher ratio, providing orchestra camp, providing tools and equipment for the orchestra, paying for ensemble evaluation fees, music resources, maintaining instruments, subsidizing field trips and the end of year banquet. The enrichment fees associated with the Harrison Orchestra Boosters are assessed so that all of the orchestra students at Harrison can have a quality experience above what is provided from the county. To assist in meeting this budget, the Harrison Orchestra Boosters, Inc. coordinates several fundraisers including the Sponsorship Program.
In addition to the general operating budget, a student’s family should anticipate paying bi-annual orchestra Enrichment Fees. Trips necessitate additional costs. Through the fundraising programs, students not only assist the orchestra in reaching its general operation budget but can also earn credits which can be used to offset costs for any orchestra associated items such as: Trips, Spirit Wear, and Enrichment Fees.

Enrichment Fees Explained
Enrichment Fees are $300/year or $150/semester and can be paid online or sent in via check to the black lock box in the orchestra room.
Checks should be made payable to: Harrison Orchestra Boosters (HOB). Please write your student’s name in the “memo” section and drop in the black lock box located in the front of the orchestra room.
Sibling Discount: For families with 2 children who are both currently in the orchestra program, there is a “Sibling #2” discount of $75/semester.
If paying online, select the regular “Full Year” or “Fall/Spring Semester” and complete payment for the first child. After completing the transaction, come back and select “Full Year Sibling #2” or “Fall/Spring Semester Sibling #2” and complete payment for the second child.

Community Partners Sponsorship Campaign
The Harrison Orchestra Boosters would like to invite community businesses for our Community Partners Sponsorship program. If you would like to market your advertisement in our concert programs and featured on the displays prior to our concerts, please consider joining us as a community partner. This is a 50/50 fundraiser which means that 50% will go towards the orchestra general fund and 50% will go towards student credits that can be used towards anything orchestra related including enrichment fees, spirit wear, field trips, etc. More details can be found here:
